Portage Park Family Portrait Session - The One about the Baby Beluga 40th Anniversary Edition
One of my sweetest repeat clients turned two, so we had a session to celebrate. We got off to a rocky start…my camera monkey friend, used to disguise the scary camera for the wee ones, induced tears instead of smiles (I’m so sorry little friend! Camera monkey is just there to make you smile, not to play!) Then dad brought out his old monkey lovey for sweet Arthur and all was better - we each had our own monkeys.
We played with dinosaurs at the park, looked for owls in trees, played in the water, hunted for Unicorns, and even found a trash bear in an alley! We also listened to the very specific Baby Beluga 40th Anniversary edition version by Raffi featuring Yoyo Ma (I mean I get it, cello makes EVERYTHING better.) It was amazing how Arthur totally recognized when the song switched from this version to the regular version. You never know what’s going to happen in a session and that’s the fun of it, adventures are always right around the corner!
Here’s a couple of shots from our Sunday morning session.
